After holidays devlog

Hi there random people who for whatever reason ended up on our game page!

We're back after the holidays with new spirits and a slightly modified game. We got lots of feedback (still more to come), and we decided to let go of some of the mechanics that were initially planned, while also modifying how other mechanics work. Here's an overview:

1. We let go of the shield and missile pickup and we made the freeze ray into a freeze cone (still WIP). Part of the reason was because the game was becoming too complicated with so many things to learn and to do, overwhelming the player in an unpleasant way. Also, we are running on a tight schedule with the other courses too, so we wanted to save time.

2. We are making the ghosts respawnable, as we planned, but the mechanic is different: if you're a ghost you have to try to hover an enemy as long as possible, until you're back in the game. Otherwise, you'll soon fade out and be completely out of the game! (also WIP)

There are some more small changes, but truth is, these things were not clearly decided before. What do I mean by that: we had an idea of how we want to make the game, but we never put things properly on paper. We relied a lot on Hack'n'Plan, but that wasn't enough to contain all of our ideas. So we finally sat down like a team and discussed and wrote down the things we want / need to do. So many of the game elements that were left out in the beginning were finally decided upon. We know this is not the way to do it, but we're learning. This is good experience for later. As a wise man once said: you live, you learn. Or, to look more like an intellectual, as Socrates said: "I know I know nothing" (he probably said this while programming in UE4 too).

In other news, our great artist started making the game look pretty. There's gonna be some screenshots somewhere around.

That's about it for now. We're working to make the game fun to play. We're trying at least. Bear with us and give us your feedback!
Have a nice one!
